Shannon N. Maitland, MPA, is a leadership and team trainer, consultant, facilitator, speaker, educator, community collaboration leader, and co-founder of Problem Solving Plus.

 

Her work sits at the intersection of people, performance, and problem solving... helping organizations develop the people and capabilities that make better performance possible.

Her experience spans public health, education, adult literacy, workforce development, nonprofit leadership, customer service, data analysis and interpretation, and community collaboration.

 

It may sound like a lot of different worlds.

But across those seemingly different experiences, Shannon has discovered a common thread:

  • She connects people to ideas.

  • She connects data to stories.

For more than 25 years, Shannon has helped people learn, lead, collaborate, solve problems, and turn ideas into action.

 

Her work includes executive leadership, nonprofit management, community partnerships, program development, grant strategy, adult learning, volunteer management, organizational training, data and storytelling, and education.

 

She has personally secured more than $5 million in funding and assisted with another $10 million+ in successful applications. She has helped develop programs, build partnerships, create data systems, train staff and volunteers, educate thousands of learners, and bring people together around shared goals.

 

But the thread running through all of it is simple:

 

Take something complicated. Find what matters. Connect the dots. Figure out what needs to happen next. Then help people make it happen.
