Shannon is a passionate leader who enjoys helping people succeed!

Shannon Maitland brings a wealth of experience to her role as CEO of Problem Solving Plus, cultivated through a diverse career spanning support roles to executive leadership. Her unwavering commitment to community-wide and organizational success is evident in her proven ability to foster team development and cultivate strong social connections.

Beyond her leadership in both local and global non-profit organizations, Shannon has dedicated 25 years to educational support, providing expert tutoring, coaching, and mentorship to learners of all ages, from early childhood through retirement. Her recent research and training includes a focus on trauma-informed care and resiliency, further enhancing her ability to support individuals and communities.

A seasoned grant writing expert, Shannon has secured and managed millions of dollars in grant funding and philanthropic awards over the past 15 years. Her analytical acumen extends to data analysis, modeling. and interpretation, providing valuable insights to any team. Through her leadership, Shannon champions community-based participatory research, ensuring that client voices and needs are central to program development. She is currently focused on leveraging research, community needs assessments, and data analysis to build strategic relationships and collaborations that address systemic issues in family literacy and solution-based programs nationwide. Shannon's commitment to community extends beyond her professional role.

She actively supports a variety of nonprofits as a fractional executive and remains deeply committed to empowering individuals through education and experiences as a speaker, facilitator, and published author.
